The Ride Registration Fee and donations for TheBluMoose Gravel Golden supports the Golden & District Hospital through East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH). EKFH relies on donations and gifts to provide vital, leading-edge medical equipment, and patient comforts for hospitals, medical centers, and special care homes across the East Kootenay Region. Donating to EKFH ensures up to-date medical care across our communities. Well-equipped facilities help attract and keep highly-skilled medical personnel to live in East Kootenay and provide excellent medical service to East Kootenay residents. All funds raised through TheBluMoose Gravel Golden go directly to the EKFH’s Golden & District Hospital Fund, improving health care in the Golden community.
The Ride Registration Fee of TheBluMoose Gravel Orillia supports the Couchiching Conservancy, a non-profit, non-government land trust dedicated to protecting nature for current and future generations. The Couchiching Conservancy has helped protect over 14,000 acres of wilderness in the Lake Couchiching region. Together with its partners the Nature Conservancy of Canada and Ontario Parks, The Couchiching Conservancy protects over 10,000 acres in the unique Carden Alvar. TheBluMoose Gravel Orillia traverses this spectacular ecosystem. Many of the nature reserves established by the Couchiching Conservancy have trail systems that are open to the public to enjoy.
